Mrs Janet Bailey - Proprietor 

Janet has worked within the care sector for the past 30 years and was care home manager for 19 years, 12 of which she worked as owner / manager of Hollybank. Janet is very much a part of life at Hollybank, and spends a lot of time here with us.  She is fully qualified and possesses the City & Guilds Advanced Management  for Care Certificiate 3253, City & Guilds National Vocational Qualification Training and Development Certificate (A13) and (B12) together with City a& Guilds National Vocational Qualification Level 4 - Registered Managers Award.  Janet is also proprietor of Lindan House Care Home, Wrexham and co-owner of Phoenix House Care Home in Sandycroft along with her business partner Mrs Dawn Gittins

Emma Evans - Support Manager

 

Emma has worked with Janet since she opened Hollybank in 1998.  She started her career working nights and has progressed to Support Manager. Emma works between Hollybank and Lindan House providing advice and support to both managers.

The Staff

We have an excellent team working at Hollybank, many of whom have been with us for over 10 years.  All staff are committed to their role as carers and have all achieved a high level of qualifications, most hold Diploma 3 in Health and Social Care, the rest are working towards levels 2 / 3.
Lorraine is our cook and she holds level 3 food hygeine award.  All meals are nutritionally balanced and home cooked using fresh produce as available.  A varied daily menu is offered and a choice of meals given with all dietary needs catered for, including allergies, Diabetic and Coeliac diets.  We hold a level 5 Food Hygiene Certificate.

Geraldine (Gerry) Our activities coordinator's background is in Care, she holds NVQ 2 / 3 in Health and Social Care and is always busy about the home either doing crafts with our residents, arranging trips, in house entertainment, liaising with local groups / projects so that we are always a part of the community to name but a few things going on.  She has recently become a dementia champion and also works closely with the Altzheimers Society.  

There are three Senior care practitioners (Melissa, Jackie and Jenna) who work along side Sarah to help facilitate the smooth running of day to day tasks.  We have a housekeeper, domestic and handyman so as you can imagine, it's a busy place.

Sarah Evans - Registered Manager

 

Sarah came back to work in Lindan House in 2009 following a career break to have her children.  She gained her level 2 and 3 in social care and progressed to Senior in Charge.  She assumed the role of Acting Manager in July 2014 after achieiving her Diploma 5 in Care Management and was awarded her full registration with Care and Social Services Wales in on 1st June 2015.  Sarah is also registered with the Care Council for Wales and is a qualified Key Trainer in Manual Handling.
